Sometimes I wonder if people really give any thought to how they spend their lives. How they spend each day, each hour. Most of us (kids, teens and young adults atleast) are content to sit on the couch and watch television. We love video games like Halo and Grand Theft Auto where, like in many virtual games, you go around killing people and blowing things up.
I did it last night. I had two beers and a glass of wine over the course of five hours and I got in my car and drove home. I am pretty sure that I was under the .08 blood alcohol content limit, but I don't REALLY know. I didn't have a breathalyzer with me. But I think most of my friends would say, "Five hours?
"Anything can be related to psychology."
These words came from my AP Psychology teacher's mouth in our first week of the class. I'm thinking more along the lines of brain chemistry, thought process, loads of theories, and many experiments that don't really have much purpose other than to tell us something we already know. I wasn't the most enthusiastic student.
I just want to know what the purpose of drunk driving is and why people out themselves and other people at risk. Is there a purpose to it?
I remember studying the US Constitution in 5th grade. It was so BORING! But there was one thing in there that I thought was pretty funny- the eighteenth amendment and it's history. "Well it must be the alcohol causing all these problems! It can't possibly the fault of the idiots actually consuming the alcohol." hmm...
Everyone knows that once you get to college, you have some of the best times, get some great memories, and also meet new friends. Well i'm sure that most of these times, and memories will include alcohol. I don't understand why alcohol is such a great thing. Coming from someone that has two different violations from underage concumption, it really isn't worth it.
