USDA officials have recalled 143 million pounds of beef, enough meat to feed two hamburgers to every man woman and child in the United States, as reported by the Associated Press. Our government and the Department of Agriculture are using cities as large-scale testing grounds for dangerous pesticides and other chemicals. These tests are particularly worrisome given that the populations targeted are not warned (though they are apparently justified in that because the sprayings take place at night).  Read More »

Some would argue that humans are the most evolved creatures on this planet, and therefore we have morally and physically bypassed the need to kill another animal for the sake of eating.
