agnostic

Firstly I'd like it to be known that I am a spiritual Christian; a saved Athiest/ Agnostic.

I look around progressiveu and I've come to find that many of its members or either Athiests or Agnostics. Now, I know this is an uneducated observation but I'd think that many progressiveu members are more intelligent than your average student, but I don't know for sure.

Christianity pisses me off. It doesn't make sense. It's a religious of fear. Believe in me, OR ELSE.

Well, you know what?

I want to believe.

It's very lonely. I want to believe there is a god who loves me and wants the best for me and will take me to a nice place when I die.

I want to believe. Desperately want to believe.

OR WHAT PURPOSE DOES "GOD" SERVE FOR US?

When you read this, do not take it as a personal attack. I more or less had some thoughts running through my head, and I wanted to put them out there.

For what reason does "God" exist?

Over the past two years I have had a fairly large change in religious beliefs and in my outlook on the world in general. In my opinion, I went from being optomistic, religious, narrow-minded, and opinionated to being more open-minded, disappointed in our world, and more accepting of others in general.

I do not believe in God. I believe in a god. Gowing up in the bible belt I have had to deal with all sorts of prejudice over this fact. Add into the equation that I'm bi, well you might as well make me a damned heathen.
