I am the first to say I am privileged to be a white middle-class young woman. As I am quick to remind people, I have never been called an acceptation to my race, though I have kindly been called a “ball buster” as well as other derogatory terms not suitable for print.

Who Can I Blame? No Money, No Education. The world I was born in because I'm African American.

Today, is not a good day. And It is never a good day when your dreams are ripped from you, by things you can't control, and people you can blame because they are directly responsible for that dream being taken from you.

I Think We Should Raid the Homes of Illiterate Black People

I was recently educated on the preliminary stages of a controversial program in Washington, DC called Safe Homes. The program was set to begin in March of this year which would have involved door-to-door police interrogation tactics in high-crime communities.

"these people [the NAACP], the ones up here in the balcony fought so hard. Looking at the incarcerated, these are not political criminals. These are people going around stealing Coca Cola. People getting shot in the back of the head over a piece of pound cake!

Sexism and migony still exist in our society, but if this was written by an african american about african american, do you think that they would had printed it? I did a little edit myself:

As Kanye West so eloquently put it, “Bush doesn't care about black people”. This was the sentiment raging within the African American community after Hurricane Katrina. But how based in real facts is that statement?

Today President Bush spoke out against the return of public noose displays, and other signs of lingering injustice. "The era of rampant lynching is a shameful chapter in American history," President Bush said, while he was at an event celebrating Black History month at the White House.
