Graduation: Who's REALLY Becoming an Adult?

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •

Today, my little brother graduated from high school.

Normally, high school graduation means nothing to me. I downplayed my own graduation and I usually just can't see what all the excitement is about.

But this graduation was different. This was my baby brother's graduation!

Never in a Million Years...

I have older siblings, so I know how things were after they turned 18...not much different from when they were 17. So that's basically what I thought would happen after I turned 18 at the beginning of the year. Man was i wrong.

Ninteen, Here I Come

Tagged:  •    •    •

This is my first post, so I decided to write about something that I'm really passionate about. That would be underage drinking. If there are any teens who participate in drinking who read this post, I want to tell you that I'm not just another adult telling you what to do; I'm a teen just like you.

Interesting how many different standards for adulthood there are.

According to the court of law, one can serve hard time in state prisons at age 18. According to our government, 18 is the age in which one is to be held responsible to their actions.

Dare to Dream?

"I never broke any bones before." These words coming out of this little girl's mouth reminded me of what Catherine once said before: It is amazing how children can freely express how they feel and say anything they want, without worrying about anything.

Hello, my name is Samantha but ever one just calls me Sammy. I am 19 years old. This is new to me but I thought the whole blogging thing would be something nice to try. Here is a little about me and why I am here.
