I sat with my head down on the steering wheel in the middle of the road. "Why does this happen to me?" The man stepped outside his car and turning to me said, "I know it's a junky car, but I wanted to keep it alive for a while. Why did you have to hit it?" I was almost brought to tears.

Terrible Loss
Friday a terrible accident happened that caused the death of a friend. Not only was she a year older than me through school, we also served and bartended at the same restaurant since October. I feel that I am doing okay. I have gotten down more today because I read the obituary and news paper article. I feel that I need to be there for my friends, and I will be just fine.

I was walking towards my house, the way I always do, and went to cross the tracks when I tripped and hit my head on the ground rendering me unconscious.
I didn't wake up, that is until the train hit me.I started to scream at the top of my lungs immediately when i was hit, when the front of the train shattered my knees.

Driving off the Road
Sometimes I am consumed with an overwhelming desire to simply veer my car off the road, usually in a place posessing more impending doom than not. I admit, it is often in times of depression, anxiety, or lonliness that I feel driven to do such a thing, but nonetheless, the situation presents itself realatively often.

So, back to my view of 2007.
From the time we are young, we are told that our family is the cornerstone of our lives, the core of our support system that we can always count on to do the right thing and keep our best interests at heart.
