collegeboard.com...owner of the Suck-Ass-Test (SAT) and AP, which I don't even need to name-call since anybody who has ever been involved with it knows that it is just a few hours/semesters of misery. For the few years and four-hundred-some dollars that I have spent on collegeboard to help me prepare for college, I don't have much to say for it. In fact, I have even grown to despise it.

Academic Honesty - Why do high school and college students cheat so much?

Cheating has become more and more common within our nation's high schools and colleges. It's gotten so out of control that it actually more likely that a student has cheated than that they haven't cheated. We have to wonder what the cause of such an increase in cheating could be.

Academics vs. Athletics

At some point in life, primarily in high school, the "academics" are separated from the "jocks". These are the two extremes since there are obviously those individuals who fall in between those two categories. However, it seems like the jocks get more recognition than the academics. The reasoning behind that is one that still puzzles me to this day, but I think that I have an idea why.

The Benefits of an Academically Competitive Atmosphere

Experts believe that an academically competitive atmosphere is helpful to students; And as a student, I would have to agree! Although everyone is different and bound to react differently to given situations, I believe the majority of students can benefit from a little "friendly" competition in the classroom.

Crazy Administration

Now a days schools have crazy rules. My least favorite is NO FACIAL PierCINGs. I myself do not have any piercings on my face but even when you see a student walking in from just being at the deans it stops the class, and then is a big disruption to the class because then everyone wants to know what happend to the student. Can you tell me what the point of that is?
