9/11

Security and freedom. Where does the equilibrium of the two ideas lie? Or, does the equality of security and freedom not amount to anything more than a hill of beans now?

I wrote this poem in bahalf of the 9/11 disaster. This poem has really touched my father because he was "almost" sent to the 9/11 disaster. I remember crying on my bed hoping that he didnt go. I have always been a firemans daughter and wondered from day to day if he was going to come home safe or not.

Changes come as leaves fall from the trees

Another way to "get through" to them

Said with a chuckle

Amongst coy responses

Told to say what we might take

In stride to look like cake

Like a bad plot in a movie

This talk cant be real

Are people really listening intently?

Look at their faces as these words

Jumble out of lips built for lies

On September 11th, 2001 we as Generation Y all witnessed an event that would forever allow future generations to question us on. As so many have labeled it, 9/11 is the modern day Pearl Harbor. Many have challenged this analogy and instead drawn a parallel between September 11th and the sinking of the Lusitania during the times of World War One.

So a friend told me to watch Loose Change 2nd Edition and Final Cut videos. She did not tell me why or anything she said just watch it. After i watched it I was astounded at what it was about. Some people think that Fahrenheit 9/11 was bad these videos top it 10 times. If these allegations are true, I do not ever think i could trust the government again.

Are Americans once again asleep? You tell me... what are you doing to unite the United States?? Today I saw a very interesting presentation - you should watch it, the link is below. It starts off by asking one very simple question... Have we fallen asleep again?

Note: The following entry, which was my fourth column ever published, was not intended to get into intricate details as to why the terrorists attacked us on 9/11. It was, more than anything, a segway connecting that catastrophe and the Constitution together.

The brain is the coolest thing there is in the world, hands down!
