Jesus Christ, My Lord and Redeemer

Tagged:

Without Jesus as the center of my life, I would be an entirely different person.  He has changed me in so many unimaginable ways, and I can't even express they joy that I have to be one of His followers.

Jesus died for ME!  What a concept.  Would you die for every sinner in the world?  I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to do that.  To know that I am basically perfect in every way, but let myself die to save everyone's imperfections?  That is intense love right there.  Read More »

If Atheists Prayed....

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •    •    •

If atheists prayed, Philip Pullman would be an answer to their prayers. After writing a series of books with the express purpose of "killing God", there is now going to be an epic movie about that very topic. Masked behind a screen of mythology and adventure, the story centers around an English school girl who is out to save the world by killing God. Here is my question:  Read More »

Another kick to the gay community

Tagged:  •    •    •

According to a federal appeals court in California, gay couples cannot contest marriage definition. The reason being that since gay couples are not married, then they have no right to contest the marriage definition. This has effectively excluded a whole group of people out of trying to change the marriage laws. I personally don't see how same-sex couples should be treated any differently than opposite-sex couples, since people who are in love should be allowed to pronounce their love with a marriage. The point is that with this ruling, gay couples couldn't really contest the marriage laws at all, which doesn't make sense since they are the ones who are wanting to change this law. This ruling will more than likely receive an uproar of criticism from the gay community, and wind up with another federal supreme court hearing.  Read More »

GOD IS PROVEN

It was on my local news station last night that the existance of GOD HAS BEEN PROVEN!!!  A scientist said, although very reluctantly, "I am forced to say that GOD DOES EXIST!!!"  Even the scientists are talking about the truth now!  No offense towards science because I am getting my masters degree in Biology!  Now that it has been PROVEN, do you want to think about your  Read More »

Why I can't be a christain.

Tagged:  •

Let me begin by getting a few things out of the way. I am a gay atheist and have no love for religion of any type, but this isn't a discussion about why I am an atheist. I was raised in a conservative christian family, and this is a discussion of why I find the christian religion to be particularly incompatible with my personal values and ethics.  Read More »

My Problem with Christianity

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •    •

Christianity pisses me off. It doesn't make sense. It's a religious of fear. Believe in me, OR ELSE.

Well, you know what?

I want to believe.

It's very lonely. I want to believe there is a god who loves me and wants the best for me and will take me to a nice place when I die.

I want to believe. Desperately want to believe.  Read More »

Convince me why God does/doesn't exist.

Try to keep this debate within reasonable emotional states.

Also try to use facts or specific information to back up your case.

Personal experiences can be listed to, but the credibility of these are not too high.

I have my own personal preference (which I'm not going to reveal right now), but for the time being I'm going to enjoy a tabular rasa moment.  Read More »
