There are always two kinds of people in the world: the optimists and the pessimists. The optimists who look at the happier side of everything, looking for the good in the bad, trying to find a smile in a crowd of frowns. The pessimists who are a little more realistic, who knows when the bad is bad, who focuses more on what they can't do more than what they can.

It's funny and kind of strange how many people will go on about how wonderful, how beautiful, and how fabulous their friends, family, and even total strangers look, but will totally look past their own beauty. Many people look at themselves in the mirror seeing everything that they think is wrong with their body image. All the small things that others would probably never see.

Ahh the SATs. It's just one of the many things you go through in high school. One of the things that will change your life. One of the scariest tests that you'll take over and over just to seem like a "threat."

After all the reading we did from The Great Gatsby, and then all the reading we did in history once we got to 1920s America, the 1920s seemed really interesting. I think if i were to choose a time period to live in, that would have been one of the ones at the top of my list.

I love how music can take you into certain trances when you listen to it. Which is why all my blog titles are titles of songs. I think for any situation and emotion, there is a song to perfectly match. Music has its ways of letting you escape what is going on around you for a moment and just brings you into a peaceful little place... depending on what you're listening to.

Love is really hard to explain. People have different ways of interpreting it and how it should be. It is confusing, scary, weird, hurtful, fun, wonderful, and a blessing all in one. So when you say you love someone (a friend, a family member, a lover, a soulmate) how do you really meant it?

With all the lies in the books

So they can watch all the things you do

Because the drugs never work
They're gonna give you a smirk

Ok so the future doesn't really freak me out, but it is starting to get a little scary. I am now in my junior year of high school and now I have to think so far into my future. Where do I want to go? What do I want to be? Could my choice really give me a stable life?
