March 15, 1989 Efren Paredes, Jr. was arrested at the age of 15 for a crime he did not commit. Since that day he has been incarcerated. April 4, 2008 Efren turned 35-years-old. As a youth Efren was sentenced to three life sentences. His sentencing judge imposed the maximum allowable punishment against him.
