Over the Summer semester, I had to do a research paper for an English Linguistics course. Most of the students were in the education program and chose topics like; bilingual education, second language immersion programs, and language acquisition. Being a literture student, I decided to brainstorm something completly different. I ended up choosing to research how major corporations corrupt language in order to influence the way their employees think and act, ala Sappir-Whorf Hypothesis.
