Branch Out to find work you love.

Penelope Trunk is an idiot.

"Who the hell is Penelope Trunk?" you ask. Simply put, she is one of the worst writers on Yahoo News. Her column, The Brazen Careerist, dishes out unorthodox career advice and "how to get what you want in life."

Today's Technology.

Tagged:  •

The technology of today is amazing. Just take a second to think about the technological advances of the past 20 years. The internet, the computer that I am typing this blog on. It's incredible. Someone created all of this. Unfortunately.. it has given lots of people the oppurtunity to become lazy.

Graduation Mockery!

Tagged:  •

in schools all over the nation there are failing students who are not given help to improve their failing status and who are then passed on to high school where over half of the students are not adequately prepared. What message are we sending out there? That it doesn't matter and that someone will academically push you along, no matter how little you do?

They state that these factors place an unfair advantage to some students and that riding them will level the academic playing field and make acceptance more fair.

Where is the line of reason?

Moral dilemnas.. they plague our thoughts every day. It's funny to me sometimes. I believe myself to be a reasonable logical person, and yet I have trouble when I'm involved in situations. If I take a step back and completely remove myself from whatever situation I'm in, I think clearly and logically. Is that true for anyone who isn't me?

Society.

Tagged:  •

Widespread critism of society as a whole is clearly evident in every english and history class I've ever taken. The norms of society is widely discussed and yet no one really goes beyond a few discussions. There is no effort to change it. There is only talk, and many of this talk is to complain about what's wrong or to briefly state what it's missing.
