Expectations too high

I'm not hear to rag or diss the Illini but this is simply a rebuilding year that keeps getting worse...We blow a game against Maryland, and the Refs of the Zona game were just...i won't even start...I'm not saying we suck the season is over...this will just make us look bad, killing the creampuff teams then losing to actual compitition.

On top of that we have injuries that are huge set backs, they are brutal...We are all excited to see Jamar play in his first game back but then he just reinjures his ankle...then Randle who has been injury prone is out...I can't wait for him to get back in action and lead the Illini he will be great this year.  Read More »

McBride playing his way out..

...his way OUT of the rotation. I know he's starting right now, but we have at least 2 guards (Frazier and Brock) who bring more to the table than he does. When Jamar gets back, we will have 3.

When Randle gets back, I fully expect us to go big. I anticipate our lineup to look something like this at the start of the Big Ten:

Frazier, Smith, Randle, Carter, and Pruitt. Calvin will probably be the first off the bench, then Arnold. I can see Rich being like the 8th man... a nice role player who can come in and hit a couple of shots, and play a little D. We'll probably go with a nine-man rotation, with Carlwell slowly working his way ahead of Arnold.  Read More »

Pete Caroll has no class

"We just didnt play well today, they did some things but really we didnt play well at the offensive line and we have to deal with it. We didnt play well"

Are you kidding me?? Our defense TORE YOU UP Petie! Booty got shaked, rattled, and rolled. Not to mention your cockiness of going for it on 4th down and failing to do it twice hurt you Petie. Cant believe this A-hole...even at half time he goes "Yeah, they threw some different things at us, but its no big deal."

Talk about giving credit where its due...Carroll has no class.  Read More »

Illinois-Arizona Observations

1. You cannot fault the effort against AZ today. The Illini played hard for 40 minutes and left everything on the floor. It was the best effort we have seen from IL this year in tems of intesity throughout the game. I think this game also put to rest concerns people had about our ability to compete in the B10 and make the NCAA tournament. I'm sure Bruce was after them in practice after the lackluster effort against Maryland. I would add that we were sucking air at the end today because of lack of depth.  Read More »

Van Wilder

This movie BLOWS!!! I saw it last night and it was probably one of the most disappointing films I have every seen. It takes place at some dumb European college and he is an outsider. It turns into a love story rather than a humor film like the first Van Wilder (although that could also be categorized as a love story, they share no comparisons) DO NOT SEE THIS FILM...please I'm warning everyone to not waste their money and be disappointed!  Read More »

Are parents of sick kids who smoke child abusers?

If a child has a serious breathing disorder that is made worse by the smoke around them (discounting the fact that some believe 2nd hand smoke has zero adverse affects which makes no sense - but that's for another thread0

Note - not parents who sneak out the back door or smoke away - I'm talking about a parent who has a kid with a serious breathing ailment (emphyema etc) and smokes in front of them.  Read More »

Warning from the past

Smoken-frei. The rise of social facism...again.

In recent times we have seen the rise of the anti-smoking-lobby (ASL) and its influence on mainstream society.
What hasn't been so heavily publicised by its devotees is its parallels with the ASL of Nazi Germany in the 1930s.
As part of the social engineering program geared towards creating a master race in 1930s Germany smokers were heavily ostracised by the Nazi establishment and its devotees. It was official policy.  Read More »
