My Review of Cyber Sunday

Match #1: Umaga vs. Kane or Chris Benoit or Sandman
Stipulation: N/A
Championship: N/A

The match started off slowly, and stayed that way for about 5 minutes. Once it started picking up the pace, it got good. A lot of decent spots between both men, and a very back and forth match. Ending came when Umaga delivered the Samoan Spike to Kane twice.  Read More »

Wacky year of College Football

College football is in a tizzy. First it was the miracle that is Rutgers, Ray Rice, and the Judge Ito, and the havoc they wreaked on the BCS. Then came Judgment Day, the most hyped game since last year's National Championship. There isn't a bigger college football rivalry than OSU vs. Michigan. Big game. Well, it went down out there. ND BCS chances are BS

Yeah yeah yeah, you all know I don't particularly have a soft spot for the Irish. With that being said, this isn't an attempted bashing of the Notre Dame. Just a good honest question about the correlation between ND's string of bowl losses and the current alignment.

MVC is it major conference?

I'm not sure of the appropriate name for this sports paradigm shift, but I think this is it for now. Perhaps it's the 'George Mason' effect as well.

I wanted to touch on this yesterday but so many stories ranked above this ... which ironically is precisely the point I'm trying to make.

In case you haven't noticed, the following results occurred over the past week:  Read More »

Eastern Conference bad once again

Before the season began, there was optistism for the Eastern Conference. The Heat were defending champs, the Cavs looked like they would take the next step with LeBron, the Bulls had just signed Ben Wallace, and the Pistons were no slouches even without Big Ben.

A look at the standings a month into the season, however, shows that the East is as bad as ever, if not worse. As of today, exactly 4 teams (Orlando, Detroit,  Cleveland, and Indiana) are above .500. Other damning indictments:  Read More »
