They have made it through the toughest conference in the country's schedule and championship, and some still think they dont belong?

At what point is a resume worthy? They have challenged teams to go on the football field vs. them every week, point spreads and style points or not, and comeoff victorious and it hasnt happened. Does no one remember how bad CFB used to be?

1993 - ND beats FSU, next week ND loses to Boston College, FSU wins national title with 1 loss over team that beat them earlier in the year

1994 - Joe Paterno has best team all year but voters give title to Nebraska as sort of a lifetime achievement award. No doubt that PSU was the best team that year.

The Good News: The losses to Maryland and AZ has improved the IL RPI from the 80's to 54.

The Bad News: If IL wins the next 3 games, they will have gone through the first 12 games of the season without one quality win. Jackson St is a dog team that will finish the season with an RPI below 200.

Mizzou and Xavier are huge games. the IL non-conference schedule is 4 tough games and 11 bottom feeders.  Read More »

It's been a good year for football. We were rebuilding and picked by many to finish in the lower half of the conference. We lost 2 games we should have won. To make the play-offs was a bonus. Like many, I think we were too conservative in our play calling. It seemed at times we were playing not to lose, rather than playing to win.
