If the majority of polls shows different information than what is actually happing, how does it happen. Do Elections really show what WE, the people, want. If our generations is pro-equality, pro-alternitive engery, pro-what ever, and we are the largest group able to vote, than how is it not happening???????? I know that at our school, the majority of the body would like something to happen, say gay marriage, but they are frustradted when a bill for banning it is put up for vote. well, if that would happen, what most likely would happen? My guess is that it would fall, misreably, and i'm pro! Why, Answer: the majority party can have certain topics that will get one point voters out and they will vote for that, and the Youth, the majority for that topic, doesnt vote. THE MAJORITY OF ACTIVE VOTERS IS 60+, AND WE ARE THE LOWEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What I think is even worse, is that we are the furture, the vote determines what effects our life in this state, and we have the lowest voter turn out. in a few years when these laws will truely effect us, and we will be out in the real world, our vote on a topic will be gone, and we will have to settle with the vote that was taken with out us there. in a few years, our grandparents will not be here, and will not make up the majority of voters, and we will have to go and vote, or our voices will not be heard. Progress has to start now, and it starts with our vote. if we want progress, of the kind that we will need, we have to vote.
