This website is in contest form.

You knew that, but it's fun to say. After the end of the latest contest, accusations are flying on how people were overly rude, people posted blogs that were basically empty of real substance.

You can't change people, but you CAN change persons

To explain - I have found that you cannot influence the position or state of general groups, because the people in them vary too much. But you can influence individuals within those groups.

Coming of Age

Got the concept off of a discussion about whether religion should be forced on minors by their parents.  An interesting question, but to me it raised another - when are kidlets capable of making their own decisions?

when Grand Theft Auto becomes real

For those of you who haven't heard, the makers of Grand Theft Auto are getting sued.
The reason they are getting sued:
Two boys, ages 14 and 16, took a .22 rifle to a wooded hill overlooking a freeway.
They proceeded to open fire on traffic, killing one man and seriously injuring another.
The boys said they were mimicking the game Grand Theft Auto.
And so, a lawsuit for 100 million dollars. Which could go class-action.  Read More »

Why are Asians smart?

Most of my friends are Asian. Not because I am racially biased toward Asians (and I'm White anyway), but because they make up most of my classmates.
30% or less in my town (which is a mostly White town), but almost 100% of my classmates. The joys of advanced classes.
