I saw on the news that a woman filed suit last month saying that supervisors on the Maury Povich show made continuous sexual remarks to her, forced her to wear sexy to expose her body and made her watch pornographic material with them. She also claims that she had to do an unfair amount of work because she was doing most of another womans job that has a relationship with Maury! And they don't make her do anything. I wonder how Maury's wife Connie Chung feels about these accusations? Anyway their trying to get the court to throw out her case because in her contract shes supposed to arbitrate any claims that arising out of any alledged discrimination or harassment. This all sounds very fishy to me, I don't think I would have signed a contract like that in the first place. How about you all? Read More »

When did being a "Brat" become a good thing?
Maybe I'm getting old but I remember the days when being called a brat was a bad thing. I remember that little feeling of shame when I was called one by a family member, but now kids wear that name like a badge of honor! Have you all seen those dolls calle "Brats" their the ones that look like slutty little babies! I'm sorry but theirs no way any daughter of mine will ever own one of those things! What are we trying to teach our kids with those things? They look like toddlers except they have what appears to be make up and a figure! They come with little skimpy clothes and no I don't mean a diaper. I also remember when being called spoiled rotten was a bad thing yet I see kids with shirts and pants that display this proudly. What our parents thinking? We are endorsing bad behavior thats ridiculous? What do you all think? Read More »
Would you allow your kid to dress like that?
I know we're supposed to let our kids be creative, were supposed to support them if they want to try different things, but common people theirs a limit isn't there? No I'm not talking about Goths, most of them at least cover their bodies. I'm referring to what I see YOUNG girls wearing out in public these days. Just take a trip to WalMart I did the other day and saw what appeared to be 8yr olds covered in make up, wearing short skirts and shirts so that their bellies were showing! This is getting to be ridiculous, I saw one girl from behind from a distance and thought to myself, "wow she's sure showing the world what she's got!" When she turned around I seen that she was only about 14!!!!! I felt dirty all over because I looked at her that way. When are parents going to step in and say hey this isn't acceptable, you can't go out like this! We have a high rate of pedophilia and date rape in this country and let me tell ya, letting our daughters go out in public like this isn't helping matters none. Read More »
Turn off that damn cell phone!!!
Why do people insist on blabbing on their cell phones while driving? I got cut off today by some young girl that could barely see over the steering wheel of her huge SUV. Instantly road rage set in and I wanted to pull up beside her and threaten to cut her head off at the next light! lol "Just Kidding" But I did in fact pull up beside of her and there she was chatting away on her cell phone, no ear phone hooked up, she was also having a bit of lunch while driving and chatting away so the phone was rested between her ear and shoulder!!! What's wrong with these people? I think their should be a new law passed, we could call it DWC "Driving While Chatting!!!" When people get pulled over for this the cop should take the phone away and smash it on the side of the road! They pour out alcohol if they catch you drinking don't they? People should have to take a class on the dangers of Driving While Chatting and with each incident the punishment should be more severe just like drinking and driving. What do you all think? 48 million Americans don't buckle up!
A study recently found that nearly 48 million Americans aren't buckling up when driving, what do you think about this? Many states have now enacted laws requiring seat belts. Police can in some states issue tickets simply because your not wearing one. Is this right? Should the state be able to demand that we wear seat belts? Isn't this an issue of personal responsibility? I had a friend die in a car crash because they were wearing a seat belt, a trailor broke away from a truck and smashed in to the passenger door at an angle, ripping the door off. This particular car had the seat belt that attached to the door and came around you when you set down. When the door was ripped off it ripped him and the passenger seat right out of the vehicle. I have read about others who have gotten trapped under water or in a car fire because they couldn't get the belt undone. What about those people? The belts costs them their lives? Should we be made to wear them? I refuse too Read More »

Performance Anxiety!!!!!
The purpose of this blog is to bring to light how different some cultures are from one another.
In the Pokot tribe in and around Kenya both men and women are expected to climax everytime they have sex. Since their is a high rate of infidelity there the women often attribute their mans lack of performance to their cheating. When this occurs it is common for the woman to tie up the husband while he's asleep then the wife and her friends wake him up shouting obcenites at him, slap him around a little, then the wife urinates on him, slaughters his favorite cow and eats it in front of him!!!! This is no joke I learned about it in a Cultural Anthropology course. This extreme behavior is fairly common among this tribe it is supposed to make the husband think twice about infidelity and his husbandly duties. Read More »
Bush requests $1.9 billion to bolster borders!
Wow, that's a lot of money, and its just a start from what I understand. This money is just to fund the first 1000 new agents and the 6000 National Guard troops, some new fences and air crafts. Imagine what it will cost to really be effective? How do you all feel about Bush's plan? Do you think its a good idea, or just throwing a lot of money at an opening the size of Texas "no pun intended". Read More »
