Since females are the sex with the capacity to give birth the result was the gradual subordination of that sex. Women as Property

I'm working on a research project for my senior thesis paper to track the historical development of the subjugation of women. I'm advocating the idea that rather than being an enternal, ahistorical phenomena, female subjugation came about as an unintended consequence of the interaction of certain environmental, biological, and cultural conditions.
