New Star Trek Movie Brings Up Cast Rumors

Paramount Pictures is getting ready to start production on the newest Star Trek movie which will feature Captain James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock in their days at Star Fleet Academy. This will be the first Star Trek movie to come out since Star Trek: Nemesis which was released in December 2002. So far, the cast list has been under wraps though it has come out today that Leonard Nimoy will play the older version of Spock and it is rumored that Zachary Quinto will play the younger version of the character. I'm not really sure what to think about this latest development. I haven't heard anything about William Shatner coming back and playing the older version of Kirk yet. Anyone else have any feelings about the movie, the young Mr. Spock actor, or about who should play the young Captain Kirk?

Depending on the status (age, political interests, etc.) of each person, bloggers are more likely to react to blogs that are about a topic that "hits home" with each individual blogger.

Media Coverage of the VT Massacre is Sickening

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

As everyone probably knows by now, thirty two students and the shooter were killed yesterday at Virginia Tech University. Another student died today from her injuries in a hospital. The media, in my opinion, is becoming a bit obsessive in this matter.

4 Years in Iraq Reflection

Well, we've been in Iraq for four years now. It's kind of hard to believe that we've been involved in it for that long. I'm not even sure what to think of the war. It kind of puts our country as a whole into perspective with a lot of 'what if' questions. What if our country had not been attacked on 9-11? What would be our government's main policies?

The Best College Advice a High School Senior Can Receive

Tagged:  •

Well, I'm down to less than three months of high school left before I pack up and ship off to college. In my time as a senior, I have learned two things that are the best two pieces of advice I have ever been given. One is to work hard, but take some time to have fun and the other is that everyone is different and therefore, not all advice is good for each individual person.
