It saddens me that every time I open my mouth in Dr. Green's classroom, whether it be to offer some personal insight regarding a particular piece, or share some of my own creative work, my peers are discouraged. If anything, I hope to inspire others to reach a level of comfort with their mastery of the English (or any foreign) language. This puzzles me greatly.

Heartspeak & Silkworm
I hope that anyone who reads this will understand it the way it is meant to be understood. But that rarely is the case with any prose or poetry. Meh. Don't just think it's about me being in love or something like that. Because you'd be wrong. Terribly, shamefully wrong.

The Gilded
The Gilded
Gold leaf lives and ignorant ears
Versace eyes and MasterCard tears
Blank faces and dull gray skies
Voiceless songs and bitter lies.
If only they could hear
And listen
Spread to its airy thinness,
Gucci reigns supreme.
The world is lifeless, ancient

Sans Toi (Without You)
Here is a poem I wrote last year, early on. It's not about me. It's not about anyone I know. But it is about loss. Dependence. Friendship. Love. It's about so many things, I hope you will see. It's a heart breaker. A bit of a tribute. It's everything I never want to experience. I hope I will never feel the pain of losing the one person who means the world to me.

L'Avenir (The Future)

Bleeding Avarice

Bleeding Avarice
By: Me
(stream of consciouseness/poem thingy written during STAR testing, inspired by an excerpt from Thoreau's Walden--similar to "The Secret of Things")
Mine away the richest vein
The human brain--
And yours to keep

L'Amour, C'est...
Here's a poem I wrote last year when some of my friends were gushing about how "in love" they were with their boyfriends. They were talking about love and we got into this big discussion about what it means. It means more than just....being in love with someone. It means love as in loving people. Loving humanity. And showing it. And so I wrote this.Â

All That Matters
"All That Matters"
By:Me
People are ignorant and blind
They hide between, behind
The thinnest lines are spread
Too thin
And people are still suckered in
Sheep
Little sheep clothed in D&G
D for Dulce, G for Gabbana
Shallow sheep grazing constantly
