Ive been having a sort of discussion via comments with another blogger and most of it has centered around fear.  We got onto the topic of nuclear arms, why people have them, will the be used etc..

Recently I have come to the realization that more and more people accept the notion of freedom of speech as a freedom only when they agree with what is being said.  If they agree with the statement or the piece of writing then they are more than ready to back it up with a statement regarding freedom of speech and the right to voice one's own opinion.  But as soon as something is said that

  As the race for the White House begins to heat up ther marked difference between this elections campaigners and those of previous years is clear to all.  In the line-up there is 1.A woman 2. An African-American  3. An Italian American 4. A Hispanic-American  5. A Mormon  6. A Man over the age of 70 and 7.

   So as I was reading a response earlier I was reminded of the quote "If pro is the opposite of con then is congress the opposite or progress?"  I may have the wording backwards, but it still means the same thing.  I have always found this quote to be a bit annoying really.  But this time I actually took a second to step back and actually think fully about the question.  Is con
