Cutting awareness Survey 2 - Those who have not cut

Tagged:  •    •    •

I am conducting a survey for an essay I'm writing on cutting prevention, and I need all the input I can get. Whether you have known someone who has cut or have only heard of it, I would love to hear what you have to say about this.

1.What is your age and profession?

2.How would you define “cutting”?

3.Do you feel that you are qualified to speak on cutting?

I am conducting a survey for an essay I'm writing on cutting prevention, and I need all the input I can get.

1. When did you start cutting yourself?

2. Did you know anyone who was a cutter before you began?

3. Did you try to fight the urge before you began?

4. What gave you the idea to cut?

5. What situation were you in that you went to such extreme measures?

Standing up for myself only to be dragged down once again

He is making me stronger through this, I must keep reminding myself. Its so difficult when what you know you are to do seems so impossible. I cannot keep letting myself get hurt by this, but I don't know how to serve him through it with the changes I know I must make. It has not been easy, and its only been one day since the decision has been made.

Why not?

Last Saturday I went to the Getty for their Summer Sessions. I went early to check out some of the exhibits and then spend the rest of my night listening to what I was hoping to be some good new music. The three bands that I listened to: J. Sole’s Musaics, Fool’s Gold, and The Budos Band, were all amazing.

Sibling Rivalry is the Root of All Evil?

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •

I just finished reading East of Eden and it struck me just how important a role sibling rivalry plays in our lives. For those of you who don’t know, East of Eden is the story of two generations of brothers. One of the most striking parallels is to the story of Cain and Abel in the Bible.

Inaccurate Confessions of a Misled Poetic Part II

How can I breathe at night,
When my lungs escape me?
How can I supplicate to my Lord,
When my soul's dead to praying?

It's all just a matter of opinion,
They say.
It's all just a difference of upbringing,
They entreat.
But I say it's no different than opposition!
I say it's a difference of upbraiding!
And what of my lot, of not, and of woe,
Than what I have cast to my Lord?

Inaccurate Confessions of a Misled Poetic part I

It’s hard to know you, and like you,
but not know what you’re going through;
it’s hard to tell if you’re real, or just a mask.

You know I like you; I Love you
-and don’t use those words lightly.
My heart has matured while
you are still just a girl.
Though I want to so badly,
I cannot tear my heart from within me.

How to learn to not think negative about things..

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •    •

I've been with my boyfriend for over a year and a half. We're really serious about this and we both want this to work in the long run. The only problem is that we argue a lot and I think it's from lack of communication and also some of the stuff I do. Well one of the main things that I do that I HATE is that I always think things that I shouldn't and that will never happen.
