Ok so I am in the blogging scholarship race thing. This isnt the only reason I am writing on here. I have a myspace. I have a free open diary. Neither one of which do my blogs do anything for me. Some blogs I write in order to just vent and all I get from either is 1-attacked for apparently being a drama queen, or 2-nothing. One aspect people need to pay attention to for "progressive" living. This whole competition is about progressive blog writing. One thing for our generation that creates a lot of problems is the pressure that has built up over the generations. Though some do not go to college and succeed, many that dont go to college dont get as many good opportunities. College creates a TON of stress. (How do I pay for college? How am I going to get through school a job and not die of my brain frying? How can I keep a social life with classes.....? Why is the drama getting to me so bad? etc, etc, etc)  Ok so getting past the stress is not so easy. Its actually more stressful sometimes to destress than it is to ignore it. so the point of this entry? Alright, so as promissed here is a blog about Disney and the way their movies relate and or contribute to sexism and racism. To all those who emailed me, all I will say to you is to open your eyes...there's more out there than what meets the eye. Subliminal messaging and brainwashing both exist in our society and in today's world. An unfortunate truth, but think of how many times a commercials song or campaign gets stuck in your head (That was Easy) or think of how many times you've thought of the singing bunny for the skittles commercial or Silly Rabbit! Alright, I realize I may be treading on thin ice with this subject. Hookah today is the Mary Jane of the sixties and seventies. Though still a very popular drug, Marijuana is not a commonly used now as it was in the times of let just say The Beatles. (Oh yes, John Paul George and Ringo...we all know you were sky high...we loved you anyway) Today marijuana is widely shunned in the public eye and there are clubs set up to inspire the illegalization of this drug even for medicinal uses. Alright...So I am taking English 1A at West Valley College. For those of you who don't know, that's in California. I live near Santa Cruise and San Francisco.
