I am reading three blogs that are mostly about gay rights and activism. One of them is more lighthearted and the other a bit more serious and political, and the third is more of a journal type blog. There are many posts everyday. There was one that caught my eye, the same argument in two of the blogs I read. It was about a children’s book and the controversy of censorship.

Censor me… before I know the meaning of the word
Go ahead and Censer me
In my group meeting last night, GSA, we were talking about being activists. This has a lot to do with the blogs that I am reading. Each of them talks about being activists for the gay rights cause. I even saw one that had to do with immigration as a queer cause. I have also been thinking about censorship. I realized last night how much these really are connected. I put the pieces together.
Talking: Its about time...
I looked at the Talking Point Memo timelines produced about Katrina. One major advantage that I can see right at the beginning is the information that came in from many different sources, but was all creditable. And the information was organized by date. With an open source, website, there can be many good and bad things that accompany it. I see many good things when I look at this one.
They have a clue!
When I read the http://cluetrain.com article a few weeks back I started thinking about the willingness of companies to adapt in this new market. The internet is not a place where you can just hide information, no matter how much people may try.
