Louisiana State Testing

     In Louisiana everyone is required to take a state test at the end of March.  For the fourth and eigth graders it is required for them to pass this test in order to move on to the next grade.  I am no opposed to the idea of the test.  I am opposed to the fact that the state puts so much pressure on these children.  The teachers are required to drill this information into the  Read More »

Katrina Volunteers on Vacation

     Many people have volunteered to help the victims of  Huricane Katrina.  However, one group of 30 has gone above and beyond.  They have used their vacations to help rebuild areas that were hit by Katrina.  Instead of going to the beach or on a cruise, they have made the decision to do hard work in order the help people in need.  I think that is awesome!  The residents of  Read More »
