There used to be so much to that phrase. People used to do it all the time. America was founded, not on secular principles, or even deistic principles, but on Christian theistic principles.

Many times in our lives, we are going to be faced with one overwhelming facet of the human life, the shortness of life and the uncertainty of tomorrow. Every day, we go out and expect to be back later that day, or night.

Farewell to a friend

This evening I check my email to find two emails from Dr Lovett (forwarded through Gregory Stephens email on the school email) concerning the death of Nathan Vaupel, one of my friends in the university. Here is what the local news said:

Good Samaritans help rescue a woman and her baby from a scary crash on U.S. 31 Friday, but unfortunately one man was killed.

Evolution 101 Gradual Evolution

Much has been debated in the scientific world and without as well about the origin of species, or evolution. However, people on both the proposing and opposing side of the issue really do not know exactly what evolution is. This sad fact has resulted in endless debates between people so fully entrenched in their beliefs that such debate is really just fancy arguing.

What is life?

What is life? Is it a collection of events a person goes through as they pass from birth to death? If so, then we should have no problem with abortion, because they are not truly alive.

Is life a collection of the experience a person has? For, if so, those younger and less experienced are not truly alive, but just shells waiting to be filled with each experience they encounter.
