Women's rights in the Middle East

The role of women in the Middle East has been greatly trivialized by Americans. It seems to be a widely held belief in our society that, throughout the entire area, all women are treated like dogs. The perception is that their husbands keep them locked up, escort them everywhere, beat them, and force them to cover their faces.

Gay/Bi Themed Art

One of the scholarships that I saw advertised sponsors a gay/bi themed art contest, and I thought I'd share my submissions here first, before printing and sending them out, partially because I think they both came out pretty cool, and partially because I'm hoping to get some criticism that I can use to improve my craft before I print and mail the final copies of the artwork.

What we can do to help our cities

While attending school this fall I found myself unemployed and attending night classes. I had a hard time finding a new job after several days of searching, and went to the local day labor location. There was the potential for 6.75 an hour, the local minimum wage, for challenging physical labor.
