Respect
I talk about history a lot, but it is because a) I love it and b) because I assistant teach an 8th grade world history class. Today we were discussing the Age of Exploration.
Voter Fraud
Voter fraud. This just makes me angry. Why would anyone want to mess up the voter system? I mean, I get why. Sure, you really want a candidate to win. I get that. I get being passioante about who you support. I understand. I mean, I have a candidate who I want to win, who I think is the bettter one for the job. I understand those feelings. But why would you cheat to get your candidate in office?
Democrat? Or Republican?
You know, with the upcoming election, I have been thinking a lot about what I believe about the government. It is really the first time I've done this, as in all the past elections I've been too young to really care - calling my friends and IMing was way more important than watching presidential debates.
No More Fear
It is hard, sometimes, being 17. You know, insecurity, peer-pressure, all that we hear about from the time we're, oh, about 7. But I don't want to be afraid anymore. I am what I am, and there is nothing shameful or embarrassing about that. Sure, I make mistakes and say stupid things sometimes, but really, who cares?
