Racism is a state of mind.
I don't believe that bussing african american students to a predominantly white school is right. I mean, if the issue was really about racism, then yes, I believe they should, but other than that, no it is not right. Sure one school has more white people in it than the other, and sure the other school has more money because parents are wealthier, but taking a bunch of poor students, and swapping them with a bunch of "better-ff" students isnt going to work. First of all, it is not the students, so they shouldnt be punished by going to a bad school, and second, when this happens, better-off parents will start withdrawing thier kids from the public school system, so what will that leave us with? My Mom wears the pants in te family, and her and my dad share the dress.
I like that about my mom, she is really independent. She can provide for the family all by herself because my dad just decided one day to quit work. He said he was getting too old to work, and he's only 53. The funny thing is, my dad does not feel any kind of inferiorrity, like some guys would if their wives earned more than they did. There are five children in my family. I have an older sister, and three younger siblings. We do well in school, we get good grades, but I cant help but notice that the "smartness" of my siblings decrease by age. My sister is the smartest, then Im next, and so on and so forth? Why is that? My dad said, its because we have too much recreation and distraction. Its either we watch too much TV and play too much video game. He also said that we have too much friends that we dont even need. "Happiness 101" is actually a class studied in universities, and like its name, it's a class that actually analyzes and teaches students how to be happy, which will in turn make them productive members of society. Last night a friend celebrated her 19th birthday, and what better way to "celebrate" in sin city than at the "ultimate girl's night out"- Chippendales. (seriously that is their slogan...)
All I have to say is I was impressed...they were pretty good! In minutes, I was screaming my head off, jumping around, dancing, and screaming again. I'm surprised, even right now, that I did that. I havent lost my mind that much since I smoked the "laughing" pot. lol. When they asked, "Where are all the horny ladies at?" I screamed like I was actually horny even though I wasnt, and like 10 seconds later, I realized what I did. I mean, I couldnt have possibly done what that girl did up there.
