Putting on a Facade

Over the years, one of the toughest lessons I have learned is that appearances aren’t always what they seem to be. First impressions are not always correct and trusting your instinct may not always be the best way to go. Misjudging people is one of the easiest things to do; one of the hardest things to correct. Two years ago at Sierra Service Project, I had a girl name Julia in my group. She was two years older than I, which established a little intimidation in me.

Whatever happened to talking about fun things?

Every blog I read on here talks about something in the news whether it be from sexual assaults to abortion to the earthquake in Hawaii.

Let's talk about something different for a change.

Today is like no other day you will ever have.  There will never be another October 20, 2006.  Yeah there's alot of crazy and twisted stuff going on right now in the world.  But here in Arizona it a beautiful sunny day.  The temperature is 66 degrees and sunny.  Life is wonderful.  Tonight is the homecoming football game and tomorrow night is the dance. I am happy and healthy.

What's on my mind

Tagged:

its becoming very clear to me lately who people really are and i am more able to see through what they try to hide behind. i do it too, we all do. we are all strangers to everyone but to only ourselves. depending on the person standing next to me determines how i will act, what i will say, what i am thinking, and who i am. you cannot say you are not or have not been like this too, or maybe you've never thought about it until now. i try to stay consistent but its really hard to be happy and shit around some people but when im with my true friends they know me for nothing but good times and laughs, thats who i really am. if it was up to me, i would be able to know each and everyone of you so intimately and personally because i think that would be just amazing to know who we really are. each day i make an effort to reach out or say something or be nice to someone whom i either dont know, or would other wise never talk to. i do this only because i dont want one opportunity to be missed by meeting an amazing new person or talking to someone new. people in general are letting me down lately, and this might be due to the fact that i put more trust or hope in them or im just naive and blind to a lot of shit. you're just another let down to them.

iPod Ban

Tagged:

I recently was planning on petitioning the new ipod rule that started this year at my school. It basically says that anyone caught on campus with an ipod can have it taken away until the end of the year or graduation. I did a little research into it and realized that if i tride to do anything about it, it would be a waste of my time.

I was told that students opinion don't matter, and that Principle Denton only responds to parents.
