   Do you remember hearing about the ReNu solution that was believed to cause eye infections?  Well, the product will now be pulled from shelves permenantly.  The solution is linked to rare fungal infections that might lead to blindness.  The exact brand is the ReNu with MoistureLoc.

   "While FDA is still concluding its scientific evaluations ... at this time we recognize that Bausch & Lomb has proposed the formulation as the potential root cause of the increased relative risk of Fusarium keratitis associated with use of the ReNu with MoistureLoc product,” the agency said in a statement.

  Breaking news today on CNN include a mother trying to sell her child, and an abandoned newborn baby.  The news today was especially heartbreaking. All over the world mothers are selling their children, or worse, leaving them for dead.  

  CNN's Carol Lin reported a story today about a woman in Mexico who recently tried to sell her four week old child over the internet.  She met with a "potential buyer" who was actually working to get her arrested.  She and another man are now in police custody.

  Is the Duke Rape case actually a case or a scandal.  Duke is about 20 min from my home and the case is ALL we talk about in school, work, and everywhere else.  The case has definitely caused unrest within Durham and the surrounding communties.  Yet the more I discuss the case the more uncertain I get about the allegations and the case as a whole.  With the publicity surrounding this case, I'm sure there are very few people in the country who don't know what I'm talking about. 

  Silent Hill was one of the best scary movies I've seen this year.  I work at a movie theater so I've seen about every scary movie that has come out in the past year and a half.  And Silent Hill definitely ranks among the top 5.  Lately horror movies have not been very 'horrific' at all.  Most include the same boring plot and things that go bump in the night.  However, Silent Hill epitomizes a great horror film.  Based on the video game, Silent Hill is a place where death and demonic occurences are not unusual. A mother, played by Radha Mitchell, searches for her stranger daughter in the town filled in strange creatures, deadly mutants, and unexpecting occurences.  She fights for her life with every breath in order to find her missing daughter. 

  This quote by Nelson Mandela was in the new movie "Akeelah and the Bee."  It is meaningful and inspiring.

  A 13 year old Oregon teen will spend the next 12 years in prison.  Holley Sweeney put rat poisoning in the milk of two of her fellow classmates with the attempt to kill them.  Prior to the incident the two victims put whipped cream in the defendants' hair at a sleepover.   An angry Holley sought revenge that caused her 12 years of her life. 

   Holley Sweeney, along with her classmate Stephanie Quesnoy, put d-con rat poisoning in the victims' milk on September 19.  The victims were not harmed.  A judge sentenced Sweeney to 12 years, while the other girl is yet to be sentenced.
