There were tons of golf clubs in the South that would not allow African Americans or women to play golf on their facility until recently. I know that this happened in 1990 with Tiger Woods proving to all of these people that he is amazing and should be able to play at their fancy shmancy golf clubs...but why did the golf clubs allow African American men to play golf but not women to play golf?? Why can't women play golf at places like the Augusta National Golf Club, which is home of the Masters Tournament? Why are women still barred from joining elite clubs no matter how wealthy or accomplished they are? I mean honestly we are all people and men and women should be able to play a simple game of golf together.

If Tiger Can Play Why Can't Women??
You're Fat. Go Run.
We live in a culture where the norm is obesity. Childhood obesity is constantly a headline on the news and cafeterias are forever battling with whether they should remove fattening foods from schools. Growing up I have always prefered "healthy" food over "fattening" food. I have played sports for almost my whole life, and have an athletic body type. I am petite and definately not fat, but when I go home from college I am constantly told that I am fat. Is this wrong? Or is it ok? Are my family members possibly using reverse psychology on me? Do they think that if they tell me that I'm fat then I will go out and run more, or do they think that I will come to apprecciate the weight that I don't have? I'm soo confused. I've always said that childhood obesity is a problem and those kids need to get outside and play sports, eat healthier, just be more active. And now after I have lived an active lchildhood I am being told that I'm fat...what's up with that?!?
...you help carry their burden by fighting for them...
Imagine that you are a Canadian from a small town. You are driving around your town one day and all you see on the horizon is busses. You don't know why all of these buses are invading your small town or really what to do. You are in the middle of running your errands and stop by the local pharmacy, about 5 minutes after you have been in the pharmacy all of the busses park outside of your small town pharmacy and hoards of retirees swamp the pharmacy yearning for affordable prescription drugs. You don't know what to do; you were in the middle of your weekly routine, chatting with the pharmiscist as you wait for your prescription to be filled, and all of a sudden elderly people are demending cheap drugs. Do you move so they can hog your pharmiscist and life-long friend? Or do you stay where you are and tell them to get back on those busses that they came in on and suffer under ridiculously high drug prices? Do you tell them that you do not care that they are retired, have no real source of income, and yet are forced to purchase outlandlishy high medications that will keep them alive for several more years? Do you say forget you? Do you tell them to go ahead and die? Or do you graciously move out of the way, tell your pharmiscist that you will finish catching up later and allow all of these retirees to overtake your pharmacy and perhaps live longer? Do you petition the American government on their behalf? Do you talk to someone from your own country? Do you pray to God in heaven? Read More »
