Doesn't it seem like the first portion of a person's life is geared exclusively towards finding a "good" college? Sure, there's those first few years, where life is as simple as the next new toy, but as time progresses, everyone starts to realize that life funnels down to choosing a college.
This mamma-jamma of a sinkhole often envelopes every aspect of a teenager's life. I've seen it happen. From the Ivies on the East to the New Age Institutions on the West, and the flatlands in the Middle, the search for a college takes its toll on a student's grades, relations, and ultimately, life. How, you ask? Because no matter if the teen starts the process his junior year (over-achieving upstarts, and yes, I went there) to those that wait until the night before (what are they thinking?) all those hours spent filling out Common Apps, and Rare Apps, and everything in between, could have been spent doing homework, or leveling up your Rogue Dwarf, or watching a movie with a significant other.
