Every night, the world laughs to the rich humor of famous comedian, Stephen Colbert. His sadistic views on current events, and his ironic speeches grabs at the brighter side of our lives. Colbert has spoken across the states, he runs his own show (The Colber(t) Repor(t) *t's are silent*), and even spoke at President George Bush's White House Correspondents' Dinner. (MUCH to Bush's Woe...)

A Child Called Billy: Insight into the No Child Left Behind Act

Billy looked around himself and was sure that he was most certainly in the wrong classroom. A blond girl in pig tails was standing up on her chair making faces at the boy behind her. Meanwhile, another child was thoroughly enjoying stuffing the wet end of a marker in the pencil sharpener. The teacher was trying unsuccessfully to calm the children into a submissive nature before class started.

The Truth on Mormonism: Coming From a "Mormon"

I was recently asked what my religion was. Or more accurately, they asked which "cult" I belonged to. Since "Mormonism" has been labeled as a cult since the mobbings a hundred years ago, I felt it appropriate to not only tell what religion I belonged to, but also dispel many myths that people have about our religion.

Get past the generic "Blog", and write something real!: My purpose for being here

Although I have not been here long, it doesn't take a genius to see what many people on ProgressiveU don't. They aren't writing blogs. A blog isn't a group of words that tell a touching story about your cousin or a poem that your sister wrote. A true blog has the purpose of actually DOING something.
