I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry

So a new Adam Sandler film hit the theaters this weekend and me being a devoted fan went out to enjoy the flick. I have to say that I liked, wasn't his best work but, I like a good old stupid movie. I personally prefer a good old stupid movie that just relaxes you and gives you a good laugh here and there. Checking out the ratings for the movie, it received horrible ratings as if it was another Norbit or something. If you skeptical then just wait for it to come out on video. I personally thought it had some pretty funny parts.

Where do I belong?

Do ever feel like you just don't belong and your trying to figure out your place. Have I always been an outsider, a stranger to this world? I don't have the typical question of what I want to do with my life but, is there anyone in this world that understands me and I am not questioning their intentions. It may come across to you that maybe I am just too paroniod of a person but, I can assure you that I am 100% not. I moved to a different state to get away from my family, who depresses me and to move closer to my boyfriend. I constantly find myself wanting to just be alone, in order to maintain my determination. I just don't know, I am in a weird state of mind.

TV addiction, yes there is such a thing.

Tagged:

As we become more culturally evolved we tend to develop new disease, new addictions and alternate lifestyles. Do these tendencies just arise out of no where, is what I always tend to wonder. In all reality most of them or just ways to make excuses for why we are not successful, and a way to get pity from those that have a little more to give. Sure there a legitimate diseases, addictions and lifestyles but when is someone going to drawl the line. I say get off your ass and make things happen. Don't just talk about the things you are going to do and sit around watching the world go by! TV addiction, give me a break!

Water

Tagged:  •

So I am taking this World Religions class and recently we just covered Hinduism. Our teacher told us about this movie Water which I have never heard of but is supposed to be pretty good. Indian culture calls for arranged marriages so the setting is based on this fact. An eight year old is wed to a thirty-five year old man and from there the man dies, leaving the eight year old windowed. In Indian culture, widowed women have to move to a separate village with fellow widowed women and this is where the story takes place. I thought it sounded like a very interesting to film. Don't know if anybody else has heard of it but, I will let you know when I watch it.

Norbit - Hot Trash

Tagged:

Norbit was a horrible movie, I checked it out from Blockbuster this past weekend expecting to just get a stupid but, amusing movie. I am just one of those people that will purposely pick out movies that look bad but they tend to be comical or amusing. Norbit was far from it! I thought hey, its Eddie Murphy, you can't mess up with that, think again. I guess he is just all washed up. I finished the movie hoping that it would get better but, I was wrong again, it just got worse. I just wanted to warn my fellow bloggers not to waste their money, unfortunately I was not so lucky.

The funny thing about family

Tagged:  •

The funny thing about family is that your whole life is molded on their beliefs, you don't realize it yet. Personally I grow up in a family that shows no affection, not even a hug. Well being raised in a household like that can make it real hard in future relationships. My first real boyfriend wanted to hold my hand and I couldn't even stand the thought, I automatically thought it was sissy. I guess it doesn't help to be raised in a household with three brothers and being the only girl. As you get out in the world, and start traveling the globe, learning about new religions, cultures and societies you realize that you have been living in a nut shell.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Tagged:  •

If alcohol is a depressant than why do people tend to drink more when they are depressed? I think its a way to escape into a world of "I don't give a f***k" and the night is being built on nothing but regret. I have to say that its very hard to tell what a drunk person really wants to do. You try to protect your friends from the harm that they will inflict upon themselves but, do they really, really want to do that? Will this be something that they will regret the rest of their lives or was the alcohol a way to get the guts to do it?

let your MONEY work for you!!!

They always say that knowledge is power. In today's world everyone wants to make the fast cash. No one knows the basics anymore for saving money, majority of Americans are in fact in debt. I say start while your young, and learn how to spend wisely.

The Four Laws of Debt Free Prosperity By: Blaine Harris & Charles Coonradt

1. Goal Setting -- "By setting and achieving personal targets, we can change by choice." Goals must be written down, realistic, and specific. It is easy to compromise your goals if they are only in your head and not on paper. You are also more likely to stick to goals that are realistic and specific because you will begin to see results.
