everyone is completely obsessed with becoming an individual. i think that in this process of constantly doing things to stand out from other people we begin to lose ourselves. i was just going through someones blog and the reason that person didnt want a cell phone or owned one was because other people have one.. if we can all justify what we do by that meaning everything we do becomes meaningless. im not a virgin because everyone is having sex i'm a virgin because I dont want to....

Debate Community Biased?
I'm heading towards the end of my 2 1/2 year debate career. As I near the end I started to reflect on my debate awards the tournaments I won and the people I met. Specific instances point out in my mind. Could debate really be biased? I met this question while I was in Northwestern University Summer debate program last year. This was when i was considered the lesser of the bunch for not having a laptop and an Ipod.
