It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it

In the past 24 hours there have been at least two posts about the subject of dating, and while it's not really a news topic (as I am billed as being the provider of), or even necessarily a progressive topic (as the blog site is billed as promoting), I'd like to say a few things on this very misunderstood topic.

First of all, ladies, gentlemen, (but since I'm a female, my comments are mostly directed toward the ladies), it ain't what you do it's the way that you do it. When dating, your particular limits are important -- I'll address limits in a moment -- but whether you're engaging in adult activities or not isn't important: it's who you are. If your purpose in dating is finding "that special someone", or if it's just making a friend to whom you can turn for certain needs; your focus and main attention should be on maintaining your person at all times. Your personal ethos, your personality, your own safety, your mental stability, and enjoyment are important.  Read More »

World News

*Good news: Osama bin Laded is dead! We think. No one is actually certain at this point, (especially the French), but reports have claimed that last month, Osama bin Laden met with a deadly bought of typhoid while hiding out in Pakistan. (For those who are unfamiliar with typhoid, or typhoid fever, it’s an intestinal disease that always killed your party when you were playing the early computer game
Oregon Trail.) “This information is in no way whatsoever confirmed,” said French President Jacques Chirac, however. Because if he is dead, he can’t be the boogie man, and the American people won’t be afraid any more. If Osama did not, in fact, die of typhoid, October will be the perfect time for him to make a new video letting us all know that he just had a wicked bout of food poisoning from some bad hummus, but he’s fine now, and he’s shipping the rest of the offending hummus to Americans randomly selected from the CIA’s civilian database.  Read More »

World News

*The
United
State’s refusal to support calls for an immediate ceasefire between
Israel and Hezbollah has resulted in, as one might suspect, continued violence. Israel’s dumb tactics in this war (i.e. engaging in total war, then claiming that they aren’t targeting civilians – which is partly true, because Israel doesn’t seem to be aiming at all) have resulted in a disproportionate amount of Lebanese civilian deaths, including deaths in regions of Lebanon that do not harbor Hezbollah at all. The United Nations approved a draft-proposal Saturday that would call for an immediate halt to fighting, with a clause that
Israel could fight back if attacked. Dilbert writer Scott Adams, however, has a better idea: air conditioning. It has been overwhelmingly proven that hot weather makes people want to kill each other; and so exporting air conditioning to the
Middle East, would make that region more willing to accept each other and work things out like human beings, rather than unreasonable, over-heated, barbarians.
Adams’ proposal has not yet made it to the floor of the United Nations.  Read More »
