I got an email from the National Jewish Democratic Council today telling me that I need to scold Ann Coulter for saying that Jews need to be "perfected" into Christians. (Read what she said on the Donny Deutsch show here.) Instead, I've decided not to scold Ann. I just want her to go away.

Mind Control for Fun and Prophet (or "Why I don't believe in Sin Part 1")
Recently I wrote a blog about the Jewish High Holidays that mentioned that I do not believe in sin. A commenter asked why. There are two explanations to this: a long one and a short one. I gave the short response in a responding comment, promising a blog to detail the long answer.

What does a Jew who doesn't believe in sin do during the High Holidays?
Eat, of course!
I kid, I kid. (Although, there will be punny food for Rosh Hashanah, along with the traditional apples and honey.)

Story time with Rachel
I carry a copy of the US Constitution with me at all times. Why? Gather 'round my children and I will tell you.
Yesterday was Saturday, I was on the Route 12 going to work. Minding my own business, listening to Yes. A man gets on, we drive past a church and he starts an argument on the bus about God and the country, basically the "everyone should believe exactly what I believe" nonsense you don't hear that often in Seattle. The bus driver tells him "there were people who thought the same as you before, and they wanted everyone to be one race". The argument continued.

Time Travel Made Stupid
I wonder if my 22-year-old mother would have imagined that the year 2007 would be exactly like 1982, except stupider. You see, 2007 is exactly like 1982. The fashion, the hair-dos (read: hair don'ts), popular bands, economy (though, mind you, interest rates were at 15% in order to stave off inflation after the recession of the 70s – now they're around 5% in order to stave off an economic collapse due to people buying houses they can afford at prices they cannot), are the same.
