4 out of 100 teenagers get depressed every year. Between 17 and 18 million adults are diagnosed with a depressive disorder each year.

One type of depression is major depression. This is the most severe type of depression. It interferes with your ablity to funtion in everday tasks. This is what i have. I've had it for 8 years.

It took me a long time to accept the fact that i was sick. My parents still have a hard time understanding it. My depression has made it difficult for me to funtion. The medicine helps but somedays its really bad. I missed alot of school because of this. Last year, my senior year, i had a breakdown. It was pretty bad, i was cutting alot. So i couldn't go to school the last month or so of school. I went to a new doc and he was trying different meds on me, but taking me off the one i had been on for three years was horrible, i had withdrawls and i was sick all the time.  Read More »

I love animals and i can't stand people who abuse animals.

I think the most common case of abuse is neglect. People just don't pay attention to their pets, sometimes they don't feed them. I am so glad that there are groups like the aspca to help abused animals.  Read More »
