What about Tom Cruise?

So what is all this stuff about "Tom Cruise"?

I was listening to the radio the other day and they had this topic about who likes or doesn't like Tom Cruise! Now I have to say, the guy has gone a bit nuts. The whole jumping on Oprah's couch thing, was like "NUT JOB". The fact that he knocked up Katie Holms, who he is nearly old enough to be her father....what are they thinking? And his Scientology mumbo jumbo, has just about sent him off the charts. But let me just say, he gets all this attention, because he likes it. I don't care what the heck that whacko is doing. He is a great actor, and makes great movies. I am definately not on the Tom Cruise band wagon that some women are. I don't think he's cute, in fact I think he's to short and has a big nose. But he is a pretty good actor, aside from all his wierdness. Maybe that's what it takes to be a good actor, wierdness. Look at Johnny Depp. He's a bit odd, and again, one heck of an actor. All of that said, does anyone really care about what the heck Tom Cruise does? Is it going to make a difference in his acting? He does do a lot for charity and such. He's just plain strange.

Nursing school is hard to get into

So just wondering if anyone else was annoyed and frustrated by the fact that getting into nursing school takes being a genius and alot of patient and money?

What am I referring to? You are hearing from a girl with a 3.8 GPA, who has spent that last 5 1/2 years pursuing a nursing degree. I finally got into a private nursing school after applying 3 years in a row to different schools, mostly public. I could have been a doctor with all of this. So for those with a GPA as high as mine, I recommend medical school over nursing school. With the amount of people who actually get in, your chances are better with med school. Hind sight is in fact 20/20 and if I could do it over again...you'd be calling me Doctor. Mind you I kept this high GPA while working full time, imagine what I could have done if I wasn't working!  Read More »

The WAR and our Soldiers

The War and Our Soldiers....tough subject no doubt. I for one fall into the category of one of our Soldiers, or in my case a "sailor". However, I am an FMF Corpsman, which means I serve with the toughest soldiers out there...the United States Marines.

Anyway, my question is this, how many people feel that the original reasons for us going overseas, have all but been lost? Me, personally, I wonder when they are actually going to look for Osama Bin Laden. You never hear much about him anymore, in fact, it's been that way for a few years now. And as the price of oil goes up, all I can see is that it has become an economical issue more than anything, with the oil companies getting richer, and the soldiers fighting for the rights of the oil companies to continue making money.  Read More »
