DEBATE!!!!

Tagged:  •

There has been a lot of blogs on this site lately. However, I have noticed that most of these are facts and are not debatable. So I wanted to put up these questions to all of you, and find out how you feel about it and maybe have a little debate.

Do you support Gay Marriages? Why or why not?

I have a friend who is gay, and it is hard for me to see the things that she goes through everyday, and the things she takes from people.  Read More »

The World Through a Muslim eye

When I write this I hope I do not offend anybody in any way!!

This is just one of experience in the real world!!

"Why do you kill?" the cold voice echoed through my ears, my body, my flesh!
I was shocked, almost trembling to the ground. I have heard of Muslims being shot, beaten up in abandoned places. But the street was not abandoned. I could a couple of people walking ahead of me.  Read More »

Rising from the Ruins

a very short essay I have recently written for my high school English class. I understand there are many college students that are involved in this site, and I want them to critique my writing. I am trying to make it better, so any comments help.

Thank You

This is a very recent event featured in Comcast news.

Susan Kuhnhausen returned home from work one day earlier this month, she encountered an intruder wielding a claw hammer. After a struggle, the 51-year-old nurse fended off her attacker by strangling him with her bare hands.

Investigators said they believed the dead man _ Edward Dalton Haffey _ was burglarizing Kuhnhausen's home. But after an investigation, police now say the intruder Kuhnhausen strangled was apparently a hit man hired by her estranged husband _ Michael James Kuhnhausen Sr. _ to kill her.  Read More »

Question

Tagged:  •

I am not being ignorant, or what ever you may want to call it. But I just had a question to everybody in here.

If America is the most powerful country in the world, then why has not its government catch Osama bin Laden yet? or why hasnt it put a stop to Hamas and all other terrorist organizations?

It is known that the first threat from these terrorist organizations came around the turn of the millenium. It has been six years that the U.S. government has been tracking these organizations, why are not the public being informed of the important news, until it is too late?  Read More »

MITES--an experience that opened my eyes

Tagged:  •

This summer I learned a lot about myself. I attended a summer engineering programs for high school juniors in MIT. I would have to say in the past three years of my high school life I have not worked so hard, or learned so much.

I was not one of the best students they have had, but I was not the worse either. I could have never believed I was going to work so hard and have fun at the same itme. The program taught me to live independently (we were living on campus dorms). It was the first time I did laundry, and was able to laught if off with my MITES friends. I finally felt what it was to live independently and I loved it. I was so glad that I went, because I met so many people with differnet perspectives and backgrounds.  Read More »

Organ Harvesting

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •

I was surfing the web when I came across an article conserning the organ trade market in China.

The article claimed that on July 17, 2004, the Scientific and Technology Museum of Taiwan held an exhibition of human anatomy. At the exhibition, all the human bodies and organs on display were provided by the Medical Association of China. Prior to the exhibition it was alleged that some of the bodies and organs were illegally obtained from executed Chinese prisoners.  Read More »

France bans religious symbols in public schools

Am I really oppressed? Does a scarf in my head not give us the right to live happily? Are all my relatives terrorists?

I have been met with silent accusations and silent disapprovals of many eyes as I walk down the street. I feel the awkwardness as I enter many public places. They hold their breath, and say their last prayer, as if I am ready to kill them all. I am met with astonishing and surprising eyes as I answer questions in class.  Read More »
