After reading about the contest I just had to add my two cents worth. Thats what blogging is all about. I have the freedom to write whatever I want, to put in my two cents worth. How else can anyone else make decisions about how they feel unless they know both sides of a story? Or how can people determine if somthing is a good idea or a corrupt thought? As Oprah has said time and time again, women in America are the luckiest women in the world....you might ask yourself why, I mean we have our share of problems, such as are we too big or too little, do we fit in, what should we attend college for, what should we choose for an occupation, is it viewed as a female occupation or a male occupation, etc. We hardly ever stop to think much about women in other countries all over the world have to face on a daily basis. Unfortunately most try not to think about it once they find out the sad truth of it all. Women in other parts of the world are treated and looked upon as scum, dirt benieth men's feet, a servant, to be seen and not heard, to be bearers of sons, to do what they've been told and not to give any feedback. Are they not human, do they not feel as we feel? Women in other countries have been taught this way, they are treated inhumainly, and can be killed by her husband in many countries without any punishment for the man and without justice for the woman.
So sure worring about what to wear to an important event, worring about what to become in college to face the real world may seem like a stressful event. But when I think of what other women face, what they live or don't live through, and I relize that I have the choice, the opportunity, the right to voice myself in the world today, I'm going to take every chance I get to tell people what I think and how I feel. Why? because I am an American woman and have every right in this state to be myself, to be a person, to be heard. Read More »

Why does religion hit a nerve?
By mysticalmoonray - Posted on March 8th, 2006

It seems like there are two things people should never discuss during conversation, they are: Politics and religion. How can somthing like religion get people to argue and even hate eachother? Especailly christians, aren't we suposed to believe in the same God? I know that in some instances other religions belive in different gods and such, but why can't we just respect others beliefs, and to go on with our lives co-existing in a peacful manner instead of hating someone because of what they beleive in?

By mysticalmoonray - Posted on March 1st, 2006
For those of us who are college students, its once again the most dreaded time of the year, MID TERMS!!! After all the cramming and sleepless study and research nights what do you do to get the tension off, or to celebrate? Myself personally I either go to a movie or buy myself something I really wanted, well if I do well on the exams.

Online friends and even dating.
By mysticalmoonray - Posted on February 22nd, 2006
Sure I've been to a few chatrooms, been a member of sites like Hi5 and myspace, I've talked to people who claim to be from Africa or even right in the next city. What do we really know for sure about the people on the other side of the screen?
On yahoo I've seen people's "pictures" when they later have a webcam they don't look anything like the pic. I've had friends who wanted to meet their internet buddy, but what do they know about them for sure.
My tips are as follows:
- Never give any personal info, such as address, phone number etc. Read More »
