NO, I don't believe corn is a useless vegetable. However C. Wanjek certainly seems to believe that cows should most definatly not be fed corn.

He says in the artical that corn makes cows stomachs more acidtic and therefor a better medium in which for the bactriea E. coil to grow. He goes on at length about how cows should be free range and this would be healthier for the cows and us. Where did the public service annoucements go?
With more and more people watching TiVO and DVR where will the public service announcements go. You know the ones that remind kids how to brush their teeth and the ones where they tell us to turn the clock back or forward. The clock one I have found in the paper, but how many kids do you see reading the paper? In reasearch for this blog I watched several hours of cartoons like a child would on any given day. Remote in one hand and chips in the other, "gig". But not really funny. On that day I only saw one short blrb that could be called an announcement and that was on the Jackie Chan cartoon and it was about his favorite junk food. So the electric car isn't dead?
Popular Mechanics (oct "06) had an artical about the Tesla Roadster. The new electic car from California. Don't expect to get one very soon though. The expected retail price of this car is somewhere in the 100,000 range. Also that although the battery recharges in 3.5 hours, you have to have an electirian install the home kit to recharge it. <The roadster goes from 0 to 60 in around 4 seconds, thats pretty good considering the other electric cars I heard about before went from 0 to 34 in an hour. Recently on the Military channel there was a program about the operation to remove General Noriega from Pamanian control. The program was about the SEALS and there operation to blow up Gen. IS pop better for you then water? Drinking water and pollution in the Great Lakes
I just thought that you should know that POP is NOT better for you then water. Although, water is polluted pop has sugar that causes cavities. The caramel in pop (heavy syrup like sugar) is very bad for your teeth, and very hard to brush and floss away, and even harder for your dentist to fill.
This question came about because of ordering the free water at a restaurant and getting water that smelled like it came straight from a pool, then ordering some pop- made with that same water and getting tasty pop. Sometimes, restaurants filter the pop water, so it sells better. So the pop would be better for you at least from a pollution view. (Unsweetened Tea would be best.) Read More »

Blanco from Louisana called for more money for to fix pipelines on C-Span on Tuesday. Apparently Louisanan has been asking for this money for a long time and now that the hurricane has been though and called attention to the problem they hope to get the money to be approved for the repairs. Blanco went on at great length about the beauties of Lousiana and memtioned that Lousisana produces most of the domestic Oil available. Read More »
