US food imports are on the rise. Did you know that we import coffee? Certain people in the USA would say Ban Starbucks, do not buy from them. BUY only USA goods look for the label. Where are the government ads for victory gardens this time? Gone because we need politically to import foreign food to get favors and support for the war in the middle east. Read More »

The United states has strict food standards because bad food is expensive. In aid to growers and expensive because of insurance claims, and expensive in terms of death and pain of people, and expensive in terms of healthcare. Read More »

Body alterations and other changes for health and beauty...will come back?
Do you think you should change your body for any reason? What if it was for health and not beauty. Recently in the news was the first face transplant. Good thing or bad. Arguments that work with children.....
I do not have children, however I used to babysit quite alot. I found that with babies you can just pick them up and give them something else to do. But with older children you have to use pchology to rasie them. And increasingly the babysitter is still raseing them. Even though I got happily fired from one babysitting job when one parent decied to stay home with her children.
This blog offered arguments that work with children though. My favorite one so far was when I told a teenage girl that "not brushing is expensive." That got a response, she brushed her teeth and started rememebering too do that. Explaining my poor "cousin" whoose parents could not afford for him to get a cavity filled helped. Read More »

Democracy IS christian?
Several passages stick in my head from the bible, and seem to make the War on terror make sense at least to me. First Samuel chapter 8 , Isreal asks for a king. God tells them that a king is bad that he will take and make them slaves, and that when this happens he will not help. Then there is anmother passage that I would have to read the whole bible to find but god himself sayes ...if you must have a king....A dictatior is much like a king is he not? He rules by terror like a king must to keep the peace. Read More »
