An issue that is in constant debate is the death penalty, also known as capital punishment. As of right now, there are 36 states with the death penalty including the U.S. Government and Military. These states have certain statutes by which they can use the death penalty. For instance, Alabama may use capital punishment only for intentional murder with 18 aggravating factors.

Dictionary.com defines music as an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color. Though this definition is great, I feel as though it is no longer accurate.

A question that frequently pops into my mind is this - When should acceptance of others be taught in the home? When is it the right time for a parent to teach their child to be accepting of those who are different?
