Being your average, middle class girl from the Northeast has afforded me personal freedom and a liberal mindset. I have been sparred from some of the more disturbing problems in life - poverty, chronic disease, etc.
But I always find myself under an extreme amount of pressure.
Today, in my Social Change in Latin America class, I was forced to realize that though I try to look at every side of an issue, sometimes I am blind.
I don't want to die.
I don't want my family and friends to die.
I don't want my future children to die.
Just because I might not be able to afford healthcare.

I haven't blogged since Thursday because for the past three nights, I've been performing in the Vagina Monologues. It was one of the most touching, transformative experiences.
Somehow, someway, Mick Huckabee is still running under a Republican ticket for to be the President of the United States of America in 2008. After his decisive primary wins in the lower half of the US during February 5-9, he decided he is going to give it all he has.
Does this scare anybody else?
