    Hamas, Palestine's new government, has run out of money to pay for 165,000 employees, is running out of gas today because Israel is refusing to give them more gas due to their debts, and may start having a medical emergency because employees can't get to work because of the shortage of gas and ambulances can't get around either because of the low gas.  The United States and other governments are refusing to give aid to Palestine.  And why, since they are so in debt? Because the Hamas refuses to recognize Israel as a country and refuses to denounce their militant/violent ways of government.  If I was in charge of the Hamas, I would just lie like every other politician and say we recognize Israel as a country and denounce the militant ways of Hamas just to receive aid for the country again.  But even if that did happen, the World Bank has frozen Palestine's account so if aid were received they still would not be able to get the much needed money.  What I do not understand is the statement made by Palestine saying if they recognized Israel as a country they would appear weak.  Aren't they already appearing weak by having this economical disaster happen since they are bankrupt and can't even pay their employees.  Why are these people still working for the government when they know Hamas is broke and they aren't getting paid for it.  I wouldn't work for free personally but I guess each to his own.   Read More »

    I don't know how many have seen the ad on TV called "tell someone".  For those of you who have not, there are several women talking about cervical cancer and its causes.  Since I am studying to be a nurse, information about health care and health care practices interest me so I perk up a little and listen.  The ad states that cervical cancer is caused by a common virus called human papillomavirus, probably more commonly known as HPV.  For some people who have never heard of HPV I'm sure this would cause some alarm by this ad telling them they could have cervical cancer.  There is no information given about how you can get HPV or even specifically what it is.  At the end of the ad it gives a website you can visit:  www.tell-someone.com  Read More »
