Today I was walking and I passed a homeless man, as I did, he asked for food and i siad I could go buy him some, since I was next ot some fast food resturants and a gas station. I wasked him what he wanted, he relpied that he wanted cigarettes. Iraq has become a war that is comparable to the Vietnam war. It seems just about unachieveable. IT was not in our interest to really attack Iraq, Saddam was just as threatened as us by the terrorists because they did not want him in power. There is no reason that he would have helped them and there was no evidence he was helping them.

It parallels Vietnam because no matter how many troops we send in, the people oppose us. with every troop sent more people join the side of hte teorrorists. As long as we occupy them, they will oppose us and it is an unwinnable situation, just like Vietnam was.  Read More »

Illegal immigration has become an epicdemic in the United States. I am not racist, I am ok with all legal immmigration, but I oppose illegal immigration. How can you expect a person to want to obey the law of the United States at all times when their entrance into the nation is an illegal act in itself?

Even if you ignore that, one can not ignore the fact that they do drain the system of quite a bit as a whole. They bring their children into the country , where the children benefit from a free education paid for by taxpayers. They use medical service as well, all of them that can not pay for medical service, but are admitted can not pay and therefore the hospitals must make a dirfference somewhere, so as a result the hospitals raise medical bills and once again we pay. Illegal immigrants are willing to work for lower wages than Americans , as such, more employers are willing to hire illegal immigrants. The citizens do not get the job and more people are unemployed. Also, it drives the wages down. Minimum wage for a full time worker is just a salary of poverty. A life with minimum wage is no life at all. One might say that they do the jobs we do not want, but I say that as long as there is a chance to improve oneself and get a job, American citizens will do just about anything. If it paid me more and gave me a chance to do better and go to a better college than my job right now offers, I would most definitely do it. I did sign wavign and that is not much better than picking lettuce or anythign else. As a matter of fact, not all immigrants take the bad jobs. There are nannies and others who try to take jobs that Americans do want. Lastly, some illegal immigrants believe that in order to contribute, they must take someone's social security number and commit identity theft. They then proceed to cause many problems for that person. They commit identity theft sometimes to steal the money too. Also, Mexico do not really allow many Americans to immigrate, so why should so many of their citizens be allowed to immigrate here?

America is now the fattest nation in the world.The fast food industry has blossomed in America in the last few years. Despite all the regulations and warnings about food products, America continues to be wasteful and fat. Obesity has reached its height. And it is continuing to raise. The amount of people considered to be dangerously obese in America, that means over 40% body fat is about the same number of people who live in California. While in many adults it is a matter of discipline, in children it is a result of raising and culture.  Read More »

I do not understand why so many people oppose same sex marriage. the truth of the matter is that some people are attracted to the same gender. Its not necessarily their choice. While I m heterosexual, there are so many homosexual or biosexual people who deserve the right ot chose if what type of relationships they want to pursue without society condemning them. IT seems that ever since the Bush adminsistration took over, big business prospers more now than ever at the suffering of the little mom and pop stores who can not hope to compete with these monopolistic companies. Who just consume other businesses wherever they go. It is harder now to open a business than it has been in years. And since the President is trying to lower regulations, it becomes easier for them. All he wants is the business he supports to prosper.  Read More »

I think that one of the problems with our wars introduced by our president is waging wars on ideals and not on people or nations. The thing is that we need to wage wars on tangible items.
